“And then I realized adventures are the best way to learn”

It wasn’t as if one day I woke up and decided I want to be a teacher.  No, it was a constant battle with my mom (a special ed teacher) and my high school/college friends (all teachers).  I never thought i’d become a teacher… or a cook… or a traveler for that matter.  I guess you just never know where life is going to take you, sometimes you just have to learn to follow your heart.

And that’s how all of it began.  Bachelor’s in marketing, minor in public relations, Master’s in business education, Professional Cooking Degree, paddle boarding, studies in yoga and a million other part-time jobs and hobbies.  Jack of all trades, master of none some would say.  But I think that’s a pretty cynical point of view.  Life is all about trying, experiencing, taking chances…

So one day I decided I was ready.  Ready for what…who knows exactly.  All I know is that I was ready for the next chapter of my life to begin.  I had finally found what I loved to do and I was starting to realize that there wasn’t just one way to do it or one place to do it in.  So that’s how it all started, from a class of students in a private school to one way tickets to places I had never been.  Places I felt I was meant to be in for some reason.  That’s how it all started, how the adventure began.
